Snowflake edition: data pipeline starter

This dbt + Snowflake example uses synthetic customer and order seeds to demonstrate staging models, a customer orders mart, schema tests, and GitHub Actions CI.

Quick start

Install Python 3.11. From the repository root, install this edition's hash-locked dependencies:

python -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate
python -m pip install --require-hashes -r editions/Snowflake/requirements-lock.txt

Keep the dbt profile inside the edition so it cannot overwrite another project's ~/.dbt/profiles.yml:

cd editions/Snowflake/kit
mkdir -p .dbt
cp -n profiles.example.yml .dbt/profiles.yml
export DBT_PROFILES_DIR="$PWD/.dbt"

Set the Snowflake environment variables described in docs/setup.md, then run from editions/Snowflake/kit/:

dbt debug
dbt seed
dbt build

See the setup guide and adaptation guide. The example rows are synthetic; replace them with governed source tables before using the models for a real business.
