Example data
------------

BigQuery edition: TheLook eCommerce
  The BigQuery edition's SQL queries Google's public BigQuery dataset
  `bigquery-public-data.thelook_ecommerce` ("theLook eCommerce"), which is
  described in third-party summaries of its Google Cloud Marketplace listing
  as a fictitious online clothing retailer created by the Looker team, with
  synthetic contents. The copyright holder has not read the
  listing's terms directly; see docs/decisions/0001-license-and-data-terms.md.

  No rows from this dataset are included in this repository or its edition
  bundles. Queries run in, and are billed to, the user's own Google Cloud
  project under that user's Google Cloud terms and any terms on the dataset's
  listing, which each user must review. Google provides the Public Dataset
  Program without an SLA.

  Looker, Google, and BigQuery are trademarks of Google LLC. "TheLook" is a
  name used by Google/Looker for this dataset. This Kit is not affiliated
  with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Google or Looker.

Snowflake edition and migration examples: synthetic data
  `editions/Snowflake/kit/seeds/*.csv` and `migration/examples/` contain
  synthetic records written for this repository (for example, placeholder
  names such as "Ada Example"). They describe no real person, customer, or
  business and are covered by LICENSE.

Third-party software
--------------------

The Kit does not bundle third-party packages. dbt Core, the dbt adapters,
dlt, Terraform providers, MkDocs Material, and other dependencies are
installed by the user from each component's requirements or lock file and
remain under their own licences.
